From This Moment by Elizabeth Camden

I received this book for free in exchange for my honest review from Bethany House Publishers as part of their blogging team.

From the back of the book:

Romulus White has tried for years to hire illustrator Stella West for his renowned scientific magazine. She is the missing piece he needs to propel his magazine to the forefront of the industry.

But Stella abruptly quit the art world and moved to Boston with a single purpose: to solve the mysterious death of her beloved sister. Romulus, a man with connections to high society and every important power circle in the city, could be her most valuable ally.

Sparks fly the instant Stella and Romulus join forces, and Romulus soon realizes the strong-willed and charismatic Stella could disrupt his hard-won independence. Can they continue to help each other when their efforts draw the wrong kind of attention from the powers-that-be and put all they've worked for at risk?

What I think of Elizabeth Camden:

Elizabeth Camden is a brilliant writer. She has a lot of facts to share with the world about the subjects she does research on. I would have to say that she is in a world of her own by her writing style. Elizabeth Camden invites you into the story's world where these really rich vibrant characters share their stories and their histories.

What I think of From This Moment:

I am only about halfway through the book and i gotta say that I LOVE IT. Murder, Mystery and Romance......This book has it all. It was a bit hard to get into at first only because I am not used to reading historical fiction but she soon won me over. This story reminds me a lot of one of my all time favorite shows that was on PBS.....Mr. Selfridge. :)

Romulus White-what an interesting first name. Never heard of something so unusual. I like unusual names because they seem to help the characters stick better in my head. Perhaps that is because I, myself has an unusual name. He seems like your original rags to riches type of fellow.

Stella West-She is a heroine of proportions. She has me wondering where she is going with all of this and will she indeed prove that her sister was MURDERED? I have a feeling that her stubbornness and hard work is going to pay off in the end. I love the flirtation and joking between her and Romulus.

Evelyn and Clyde Brixton-They seem like your ordinary couple. I felt her pain and sorrow over the lost of a child even though I personally have never been pregnant, Elizabeth Camden connects you to Evelyn really well. Clyde is a hard working man who seems to have his priorities mixed up as most men do of this era. I can't wait to see what happens to these two and if they get a happy ending.

The book is very well written and is keeping my attention which is a huge thing. I tend to have a hard time focusing on books and read at a really slow rate usually. Kudos to Elizabeth for keeping me reading. In fact, I went to my local bargain store and found three more Elizabeth Camden books just in time for moving. Can't wait to get to know this author better.

I rate this book a 4 1/2 stars out of five.

I have two different pictures of who I can see playing Romulus White and Stella West. These were the people who came to mind.
