Moving up to Michigan

Hey Readers!

It's traveling gypsy here. I just wanted to let you know that we have move from Maryland to Michigan. I have been living in a hotel since my birthday this year and I am so tired of the hotel room. I can't wait to move into our new house. I am learning to trust God more and more about things that I can not control. God is in control and He has blessed us.

Living in a hotel room with four adults and six animals-one cat doesn't get along with anyone else and then my sister's cat doesn't get along with my mom's cat. The dogs sleep with my cat in my mom's room, thank goodness for a door.

My sister and I have been playing games and it would seem that my luck or whatever you call it, kind of sucks. LOL. I don't mind even if I give a mean pouty lip. It helps pass the time. I know we will all be relieved when we get into our new house.

I have never felt at home as much as Illinois and here. I have moved around all my life due to my dad being in the military. I have lived in 8 states now-Illinois, South Carolina, New York, Maryland, Florida, Virginia, Arizona, and now Michigan.

I pray all of you are doing well and that you always remember God loves you very much.

Until next time,

When I Fall in Love by Melissa Storm

I received this book in exchange for my honest review:

From the back of the book:

Is it ever too late to give love a second chance?

James Morgan never really believed in love. That is, until he laid eyes on Deborah Walker at the local soda fountain. He surprises himself by inviting her out for an impromptu night on the town, and she shocks him even more by agreeing. As the night progresses, the two share their past histories and secret dreams, and James realizes that she is the perfect woman for him. The only problem is that he ships off to Korea the next morning. Fulfilling his duty is non-negotiable to James, even if fighting for his country will ultimately break both of their hearts.

Deborah promises to wait for him, but two years is a long time to put her life on hold, especially for a man she only knew for one day. When Rip Rockwell returns from the war and James does not, Rip proposes marriage to Deborah. She agrees and they build a beautiful life together until his death fifty years later. Through it all, though, she can never quite forget her first love. She retires to Abilene, expecting to live out the rest of her days in peace. So imagine her surprise when James Morgan moves in next door…

My thoughts on the book:

This story was SO SO SO CUTE! I wish that it didn't end where it ended. I wanted to know more about the couple. I loved every time James asked if he may kiss her. I loved reading about their interaction. They kept my attention so that is a huge compliment to the writer because I have a hard time reading. I found myself laughing, smiling and tearing up a bit. This is definitely a great read.

Melissa Storm creates memorable characters, great story lines and just has such adorable covers. I can tell that Melissa is a great writer and I would be so happy to read more from her and to give her a 5 star rating. Keep it up Melissa! I can tell your store will touch lives of those around you as well as people across the world.

Until next time,

Arms of Promise by Crystal Walton

I received this in exchange for my honest review.

From the back of the book:

A dancer who won’t back down. A soldier indebted to a promise. The only thing more dangerous than the threat pitting them together is the secret keeping them apart.

Contemporary dancer Anna Madison is determined to honor her mom’s memory. With the life she’s built in downtown Chicago hinging on an upcoming audition, now’s the worst time for her childhood best friend—and the only man she’s ever loved—to reenter her world. Her dad’s current DA case instigates enough danger without adding on the risk of losing her heart. Again.

Army Ranger Evan O’Riley has always known his place in Anna’s life. Letting his feelings compromise her safety simply isn't an option. Especially when his promise to protect her drives him off the sidelines and into the one place even his special ops training can't save him from. Anna's arms.

Keeping her from uncovering the real reason Evan returns is one thing. Trying to hide the reason he left to begin with could destroy them both. But when the past they’ve both tried to outrun launches them down a heart-pounding road of threats, secrets, and attraction, resisting love may turn into the greatest risk they face.

If you like emotional romances mixed with humor, depth, and characters who come alive on the page, then you'll love Crystal Walton's moving story of love and forgiveness.

My thoughts on the book:

Army Ranger Evan got my attention right off the back because I love stories about soldiers and how they interact with loved ones and how they try to fit back into civilian life once they get back. This story really does touch the heart, keep you on the edge of your seat and warms you from the inside out. I am never good at figuring out who done it.

Anna Madison really is determined to resist love but love of course wins in the end. Anna really does seem like such a superior girl who is able to keep her emotions in check for the most part except when it comes to Evan. I adore their relationship, the back and forth with each other as they go on such a heart-stopping adventure. I give this book a five star rating.

I would have to say that Crystal Walton has a way with words and is able to tell such a story that keeps the reader wondering where she is going with the story line, how much more she will develop the characters.
