ABOUT THE BOOK:
ABOUT THE BOOK:
Book: Murder on the MOOR, A Drew Farthering Mystery
Author: Julianna Deering
Genre: Historical Mystery
Release Date: February 2017
At the urgent request of an old school friend, Drew and Madeline Farthering come to Bloodworth Park Lodge in the midst of the Yorkshire moors, a place as moody and mysterious as a Brontë hero. There have been several worrisome incidents around those lonesome rolling hills–property desecrated, fires started, sheep and cattle scattered. Worst of all, the vicar has been found dead on the steps of the church, a crime for which Drew can discern no motive at all.
Few in the town of Bunting’s Nest seem like suspects, and Drew can’t keep his suspicions from falling on his friend’s new bride. Do her affections lie more with her husband’s money and estate, while her romantic interests stray to their fiery Welsh gamekeeper? As the danger grows ever closer, it’s up to Drew to look past his own prejudices, determine what’s really going on, and find the killer before it’s too late.

My Review:
Julianna Deering is such an amazing writer. Her writing style and the really developed characters that she comes up with just blows one's mind and imagination. She uses so much detail, mystery and romance in her story lines. You will definitely feel like one of that gang once you dive into the Drew Farthering Mysteries. God really blessed Julianna Deering with a passion and talent to drive. I personally can't wait to see what else happens to Drew, Nick and Madeline. You are literally left hanging on the end of your seat in anticipation. She definitely keeps you guessing as to who did the crime. Has stumped me a few times. My sister who is a whiz at knowing pretty much all who dunn its....even gets tricked by Julianna Deering.
In Murder on the Moor, you are greeted and pulled into the plot line when Drew's schoolmate contacts him about a murder that has just happened in the place of Bunting Nest. Murder, Intrigue, Who did it? That I can not tell you but I will say that the ride is definitely worth taking with Mr. and Mrs. Farthering and the whole colorful cast of suspects.
This book had me reading it almost all in one day. That is a huge record for me because its hard for me to stick with a book unless its really interesting to me. I tend to read the same line over and over and over again. I was honored to review this book for Julianna and Bethany House as well as for Celebrate Lit.
Drew and Madeline's relationship and marriage is so refreshing and playful as they have been married two years by this time. There are quite a few suspects that your mind keeps playing over and over again trying to figure out the mystery. All I can say this book definitely keeps you engaged and makes you feel like Julianna Deering is taking you on a wild goose chase. Who dunn it? Can you figure it out before the end of the book?
